The next-generation iPad Air will feature a landscape-positioned front camera, according to the leaker known as “ShrimpApplePro.”
In a post on social media platform X today, the leaker said the next iPad Air will not have any other significant design changes. They also cast doubt on a larger 12.9-inch iPad Air, but this device has been widely rumored by multiple sources, so it would be surprising if it did not launch.
Previous rumors and iPadOS 17.4 code have already suggested that both the iPad Pro and iPad Air will be gaining landscape-positioned front cameras, mirroring a change first introduced on the entry-level iPad 10. This change would result in the front camera being positioned at the top of the iPad when the device is in landscape orientation.
