A mid-level ridge will move eastward across the Great Lakes region tonight, as another ridge remains over the southern Rockies. A shortwave trough will move eastward across the north-central U.S. Ahead of this trough, isolated thunderstorms will be possible this evening. Another mid-level trough will approach the Pacific Northwest. Isolated thunderstorms will also be possible ahead of this trough across parts of the Washington coast and from northeastern Oregon into far northwestern Montana.
