SPC Day 1 Fire Weather Outlook

Day 1 Fire Weather Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1251 AM CST Fri Nov 07 2025 Valid 071200Z - 081200Z ...NO CRITICAL AREAS... ...Synopsis... A mid-level shortwave trough will traverse the eastern CONUS through the day on Friday, inducing a strong surface low pressure area over southern Canada. This will result in a cold front pushing southeastward across the Ohio valley through the day along with areas of strong surface winds across the central and eastern CONUS. In a post-frontal regime across the mid-Missouri Valley and southern Plains, strong winds of 15-20 mph are expected along with RH near 25-30% during peak heating. With pockets of dry fuels, a brief period of Elevation conditions may occur, however, Elevated highlights are not included at this time. Ahead of the front across portions of the mid-Atlantic, fuels are fairly dry and winds should be in the 10-15 mph range during the day. A few pockets of lower RH (near 30%) may occur and present a localized fire weather threat across this region, however, for now, it does not rise to the level of including Elevated highlights for this region. ..Supinie.. 11/07/2025 ...Please see www.spc.noaa.gov/fire for graphic product...
