No thunderstorms are forecast across the U.S. this evening and tonight. ...DISCUSSION... A shortwave mid-level trough will move into the western Atlantic tonight, as flow becomes zonal across much of the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee Valleys. At the surface, a large area of high pressure will remain from the Gulf Coast states into the southern and central Appalachians. This dry and cool airmass will be unfavorable for thunderstorms.
