The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of
Central and North Florida
Southern and Eastern Georgia
Coastal Waters

* Effective this Wednesday morning and afternoon from 535 AM
until 300 PM EDT.

* Primary threats include…
A few tornadoes likely
Isolated significant damaging wind gusts to 75 mph possible

SUMMARY…Hurricane Idalia will continue northeastward across
northern Florida toward southeast Georgia today, with a related
strengthening of low/mid-level winds on its eastern periphery. These
strengthening winds and a moist low-level air mass will support
supercells capable of tornadoes.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 85 statute miles
east and west of a line from 70 miles north northeast of Waycross GA
to 35 miles east of Saint Petersburg FL. For a complete depiction of
